Completed: Wayne RESA - Investigating Climate Change and Remote Sensing

Posted on: July 9, 2013

Using wireless technology to collect actual data in the field in order to formulate an evidence-based conceptual model, science students and teachers will have a working understanding of the science behind global climate change and its relationship to human activity. Using an iPad as a data-collector, students are able to collect and transmit data to a centralized database and then analyze and manipulate the data, together with NASA data, to develop a more comprehensive understanding of climate change and its relationship to land-use and land-cover (LULC) changes on multiple scales. Wireless connectivity allows for the actual collection of data in real-world environments.
