Grant recipient: Avondale Public Schools
The project will allow second grade students to identify problems and situations within the school community that need to be changed (i.e. library books left messy, noise in the cafeteria, playground issues, leadership habits that are not being practiced, ways to incorporate visible thinking more routinely, etc.). Their project goal will be to bring a problematic issue to the attention of other students, teachers and families. Working together in small groups, using digital technology to document and persuade, the students will determine a solution to the problem.
