Educators and community organizations — here is your opportunity to experiment with and demonstrate the value of emerging digital technologies that have the potential to benefit students and community members of all ages.
Community Telecommunications Network (CTN) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization representing a unique combination of urban and suburban organizations serving the community, K-12 education, higher education, and public television – working to make southeast Michigan a better place to live.
CTN is seeking grant applications for innovative pilot projects that demonstrate new and creative technology applications. Educators and community-based organizations within Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties have an opportunity to re-imagine learning and community programs through projects funded by CTN. Grant awards typically range between $5,000 and $50,000, and are funded for one year with possible extension into a second year. Grant applications for larger amounts will be considered. Project proposals are accepted on an ongoing basis. There is no application deadline.
CTN seeks to develop and support initiatives that use digital technologies to:
- Establish learning environments at all levels that demonstrate new technology applications
- Increase access to digital technologies and their benefits, through schools and community organizations serving children and families
- Support regional talent development for high-demand career areas
